Q&A with John Bradford: This year’s budget was delayed by a stalemate as were other key bills. What would you do to work with others across the political party aisle and within your own party?

QandAQ: This year’s budget was delayed by a stalemate as were other key bills. What would you do to work with others across the political party aisle and within your own party?

A: I currently serve in a non-partisan role as a Cornelius Town Commissioner. I have demonstrated that I can work with anyone, no matter their party affiliation, through my elected experience. During my three years in elected office I have held monthly “Commissioner Bradford Coffee Chats” where I make myself available to any of my constituents to discuss any and all issues regardless of party affiliation. Recently, I have been endorsed by several groups such as the North Carolina Association of Educators, Charlotte Mecklenburg Association of Educators, Fraternal Order of Police and Charlotte Fire Fighters Association which, some of these groups, have historically endorsed Democrat candidates. Despite this trend my reasonable and common-sense approach to business and government gave all these groups the confidence to endorse my candidacy.
