Q&A with John Bradford: How has your background prepared you for office?

QandAQ: How has your background prepared you for office?

A: I believe my family, faith, business experience and public service has uniquely prepared me to serve in the NC House. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 13 years and we have four children. We are members of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

I am serving my second term as a Cornelius Town Commissioner. In this role, I have protected tax payers’ dollars by voting twice to lower and then maintain our Town’s tax rate. I am a former Cornelius PARC Commissioner and I serve on the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce Board among many other non-profit Boards.

As a small business owner I understand first-hand the serious issues that are negatively affecting business expansion and growth. Despite these challenges I have still grown a successful business. In September, the Charlotte Business Journal named my company to the 2014 list of “Charlotte’s Fast 50.” In August, Inc. magazine ranked my company No. 1,352 out of the top 5,000 fastest growing privately owned companies in America. Of the top 5,000 only 146 are from NC and, of these, we are No. 16. I am ready to take my business experience to Raleigh.
