January 14, 2014 — Davidson, NC:   Cornelius Commissioner John R. Bradford, III, surrounded by family, friends, and supporters, formally launched his campaign to be the next Representative from the 98th District to the North Carolina House at the North Harbor Club in Davidson, NC.  Bradford was introduced by former Cornelius Mayor and North Carolina State Senator Jeff Tarte, who called Bradford, “the next great leader for North Mecklenburg.”

“John Bradford has extensive business and government experience that we need in the North Carolina House,” said Tarte. “Coming from humble beginnings, John built an extremely successful local business all while serving his community in an Elected position.  District 98 will be very fortunate to continue the trend of having a pro-business conservative serve them in the NC House.”

Bradford acknowledged that he has received an outpouring of support for his campaign as well as from elected officials. “I am honored that so many people believe in my ability to bring relevant and common sense business principles to the North Carolina House,” said Bradford. “I am looking forward to representing District 98’s hard working families and our community businesses.”

Along with his endorsements Bradford announced his Campaign Steering Committee and Advocacy Group Leaders.  When Bradford was asked about his campaign team he said “Several well known and well respected business and community leaders have graciously volunteered to help my campaign.  I’m honored to work with each one of them.  They are working hard planning events and building their respective advocacy groups. We will release advocacy group endorsements throughout the campaign. It’s hard work but we are having a lot of fun.”
