Bradford continues to capture endorsements, now the leading candidate in support of the 2nd Amendment and gun rights for the Republican nomination in District 98
April 22nd, 2014 — Cornelius, NC: Cornelius Commissioner John R. Bradford, III, took another step in securing the Republican nomination today by announcing the endorsement of Grass Roots North Carolina (GRNC), a gun rights advocacy group. The National Rifle Association (NRA) issued Bradford an ‘A’ rating as a new candidate that has yet to establish a voting record. This is the NRA’s highest rating for a new candidate.
“GRNC and the NRA are the leading advocacy groups supporting the 2nd Amendment in North Carolina. I will continue to fight for our citizens’ rights to bear arms as the next Representative in District 98,” said Bradford. “I am honored that the GRNC has chosen to exclusively support my candidacy over all the other Republican candidates in this race.”
As North Carolina’s most effective gun rights organization, Grass Roots North Carolina (GRNC) was created in 1994 as an independent, all-volunteer 501(c)(4) not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving constitutional freedoms. Most – but not all – of the organization’s projects are devoted to defending the individual right to keep and bear arms. More information including their candidate recommendations are available on their website at www.grnc.org.
The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) is an American nonprofit organization founded in 1871 that promotes firearm competency, safety, and ownership, as well as police training, marksmanship, hunting and self-defense training in the United States. The NRA-Political Victory Fund regularly rates candidates support for gun rights. More information on their survey and grades can be found on their website at http://www.nrapvf.org/grades-endorsements.aspx.
With this endorsement Bradford now clearly stands ahead of his Republican opponents as THE candidate in support of gun rights in District 98. “I will work hard to protect the rights of our citizens under the Constitution,” said Bradford. “Ensuring the right to bear arms for all the people in District 98 will be a top priority for me as their next Representative.”
