Cornelius Commissioner John R. Bradford, III, Endorsed By Mecklenburg County Commissioner Karen Bentley For NC House District 98

July 7th, 2014 — Cornelius, NC:  With the general election already underway in earnest in the 98th District, Commissioner John Bradford’s campaign continued to make strides in shoring up local support with the endorsement of District 1 Mecklenburg County Commissioner Karen Bentley. Commissioner Bentley has served 8 years on the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners and is not running for re-election this term.

“Creating and sustaining jobs are important drivers for the future vitality of the Lake Norman region. Government policy that allows businesses and families to thrive will ensure a bright future for District 98,” stated Bentley. “John Bradford’s success in starting and growing his business in District 98 demonstrates that he understands the value of business-friendly policies. He also understands that when government turns its back on small business we all pay the price; high unemployment, greater dependence on government assistance and lost dreams. I am supporting John because he knows what it means to roll up his sleeves and get the job done; he knows the implications of a strong economic environment in the health and welfare of our community; and he knows the importance of listening to his constituents. He will take these attributes to Raleigh and work on our behalf to make sure District 98 – and the State of North Carolina – continues to be a great place to call home.”

When asked about Commissioner Bentley’s endorsement Bradford said, “Mecklenburg County Commissioner Karen Bentley has been a tireless advocate for common sense conservative policies in our County. I truly appreciate her kind words and her confidence in my abilities. I would also like to thank Commissioner Bentley for her years of distinguished service. She has been a great representative to the folks in District 1 and will be missed.”
