Cornelius Commissioner John R. Bradford, III, Endorsed By Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board Members for NC House District 98

July 29th, 2014 – Cornelius, NC:  Cornelius Commissioner John Bradford’s campaign for the NC House made a clear statement in the 98th District race by shoring up the endorsement of local public education leaders in Mecklenburg County. Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board Vice-Chairman Tim Morgan, District 1 School Board Member Rhonda Lennon, and District 6 School Board member Paul Bailey all endorsed Bradford today as the common sense voice for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg education system in Raleigh.

“Education is the best solution for jobs and our economy long term. Our workforce must be educated in order to not only grow our own small businesses, but to also attract business to our state”, said Vice-Chairman Morgan. “When it comes to education, John Bradford is the only candidate for this race that truly understands the needs of our businesses and students alike. He will be an ardent supporter of CMS and our public school system statewide.”

District 1 Board Member Rhonda Lennon, who represents all of District 98, drew on her knowledge of the district and the common sense collaborative solutions that Bradford will bring to the Legislature. “John has been an ardent supporter of the Lake Norman region’s growth in education. Students, parents, and teachers need someone who will support our excellent public schools like Mallard Creek, Hough, North Mecklenburg, and Hopewell.  John has worked together with his board to bring collaborative solutions to Cornelius. I know John will fight tirelessly to make sure our local schools get what they need from Raleigh,” she stated.

District 6 Board member Paul Bailey drew on John’s support for raising teacher salaries and supporting small town schools by stating, “It is important that we balance the needs of the inner city schools with the needs of suburban schools. Serving as a Town Commissioner in a small Town has given Bradford the real world, hands on government experience that we need in Raleigh in order be an advocate for all schools no matter their location.”

Bradford drew on his own experience as a father of four young children stating, “I am honored to have garnered the incredible support from these well respected Mecklenburg County School Board members.  As the next NC House Representative for District 98, I vow to fight to make sure our schools have the resources necessary to retain and recruit the best teachers available while providing an incredible education and classroom experience to our children. It is vital that we provide our children the best possible education so they can excel and someday grow up to lead North Carolina well into the 21st Century.”

Cornelius Commissioner John R. Bradford, III, Endorsed By Mecklenburg County Commissioner Karen Bentley For NC House District 98

July 7th, 2014 – Cornelius, NC:  With the general election already underway in earnest in the 98th District, Commissioner John Bradford’s campaign continued to make strides in shoring up local support with the endorsement of District 1 Mecklenburg County Commissioner Karen Bentley. I am supporting John because he knows what it means to roll up his sleeves and get the job done; he knows the implications of a strong economic environment in the health and welfare of our community; and he knows the importance of listening to his constituents. He will take these attributes to Raleigh and work on our behalf to make sure District 98 – and the State of North Carolina – continues to be a great place to call home.”
