Bradford, III, officially filed today for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 98 seat at the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections in Charlotte, NC. Joining Bradford were his wife Shea, four children, friends, and members of his campaign team.

“While the snow and ice covered roads prevented many of our friends from joining us, I was honored to still have so many people brave the road conditions to join me at my official filing,” said Bradford. “It is evident from the support I have been given thus far in the campaign that we have a strong and committed group to help me take my common sense, pro-business approach to Raleigh. I am excited about our campaign leadership team and my extensive list of public endorsements speak for itself. We have much to do for the Primary election on May 6th and we have a solid foundation to build upon. We plan to have fun and enjoy the ride along the way.”

January 27th, 2014 — Cornelius, NC: Cornelius Commissioner John R. Bradford, III, took the next step in expanding his growing support base by hosting the first of several “Under 40 For Bradford” Advocacy Group events last Thursday, January 23rd. Advocacy Group leaders Jennifer Stoops and Erika Erlenbach hosted the event at The Port City Club in Cornelius.

“We are very excited about the immense amount of support we have received from this group of young, hard working professionals right here in the 98th District,” said Stoops. “Statistically speaking, 40 and under working professionals are one of the most inactive demographics in elections. We plan to change that in this election. We are proud that so many young professionals are excited about John Bradford’s candidacy for the NC House.”

Bradford praised the work of Erlenbach and Stoops and was very excited about the results of their hard work. “These amazing young women have put together something very special,” said Bradford. “I was honored that they volunteered to lead this Advocacy Group. Thus far, the results have been nothing short of spectacular. It is obvious to me that the 40 and under hard working professionals are ready to get out the vote and be heard.”

Over 60 people attended this first event and 36 signed pledges to volunteer their time for John Bradford’s NC House campaign. “John Bradford is going to do great things in Raleigh for District 98. We are very excited to support one of our own for this position, and will make sure we help him to victory in May and November,” said Erika Erlenbach.
